- the Annual National Symposium entitled 'Scholarly Inquiry in Flexible Science Teaching and Learning' on April 5, 2002

First Year Experience Discussion Forum
Thursday April 4, 2002
We invite you to suggest the topics you would like discussed at this annual event. Some suggestions from last year's participants: assessment; mechanisms for developing a coordinated approach to student skills development across a whole faculty or across several departments; and strategies for catering for diversity in the student population.

Call for Papers
The Seventh Annual National Symposium will be held at
The University of Sydney
Friday April 5, 2002
UniServe Science invites expressions of interest from anyone who would like to present a paper or poster at this Annual National Symposium.
You are invited to submit an abstract of approximately 200 words by January 28, 2002. Acceptance of papers will be notified by February 4, 2002.
The abstract should be sent electronically to

Successful presenters will be asked to submit the full paper by March 15, 2002 for refereeing before inclusion in the proceedings.
