Mailing Lists

UniServe Science maintains a number of electronic mailing lists aimed at facilitating discussion about resources for use in secondary science teaching - biology, chemistry, earth and environmental science, physics, senior science (NSW Years 11 and 12) and junior science (NSW Years 7-10).

Though primarily aimed at teachers in New South Wales secondary schools, anyone interested in secondary science education is welcome to subscribe.

The intended use of these lists is to disseminate information and generate discussion relating to secondary science teaching in New South Wales.

At present there are six lists which are open (i.e. anyone can join), private (only list members can send mail to the list) and unmoderated (i.e. all mail sent to the list goes to all subscribers). The list names are:

biol4schools ees4schools

chem4schools phys4schools

snrsci4schools jnrsci4schools

All of these lists are hosted by The University of Sydney and controlled by a program called Mailman. Information about the lists, including how to subscribe and unsubscribe from the lists can be found at http://mailman.ucc.usyd.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/

Posting to the Lists

Once you have subscribed to a list you may then send mail messages to all other subscribers of that list. To send a message use the corresponding list address given below:

biol4schools@mail.usyd.edu.au chem4schools@mail.usyd.edu.au ees4schools@mail.usyd.edu.au

phys4schools@mail.usyd.edu.au snrsci4schools@mail.usyd.edu.au jnrsci4schools@mail.usyd.edu.au

Please only post to the appropriate list(s) and remember that the lists are for information/questions/discussion pertaining to secondary science teaching resources.

Problems with any of the above lists should be reported to BioSciCH@mail.usyd.edu.au
